Husky Vodka and Five Lakes Vodka from WINAM Wines in Farmington are the very proud partners with Camp Courant to celebrate UCONN Men’s Fourth NCAA Championship with a 60-54 victory over Kentucky.

UCONN second-year coach Kevin Ollie accomplished what only a few could have imagined taking a team to the top in his second year at the helm.

A familiar basketball legend, Larry Bird, the Indiana State and Boston Celtic star possibly said it best: “I’ve got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.” Kevin Ollie and his team certainly ensured that his team gave 100%.

And when Coach Ollie reached the steps to take down the net he should point with pride that the “The view is better when it is earned.” ~Author Unknown

Proceeds from Sales of Husky and Five Lakes Vodka to Benefit Hartford’s Children

Hartford’s Camp Courant has been able to serve the children of the capital city largely due to the support of businesses and organizations throughout Greater Hartford who push to make a difference and give back to the community. In 2014, this pattern of giving will continue, as the oldest and largestFREE summer program currently in the United States will partner with Winam Wines of Farmington in a yearlong campaign recognizing Camp’s 120th Anniversary. With the generosity of Jim Donahue, Winam’s Owner & Operator, $1.00 from each individual bottle sale of Husky and Five Lakes Vodka will go directly to Hartford’s Camp Courant. Both Husky and Five Lakes are available at more than 100 locations throughout the State of Connecticut. To find a local distributor in support of Camp, be sure to visit the Winam website at This amazing and unique opportunity may be foreign to most, but it’s common for Winam and something that they have built a successful reputation on for many years through various funding efforts. Winam Wines is a boutique wine and spirit importer / distributor with a commitment to support CT 501 c-3 non-profit organizations and organic growers. Since opening the doors for operation, Winam has given back hundreds of thousands of dollars to community efforts including the Petit Foundation, Interval House, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, The Wadsworth Athenaeum, and Mystic Aquarium. In addition to individual bottle sales, Winam has committed to serve its products at various special events offered by Hartford’s Camp Courant to the public in 2014, culminating with Camp’s end of the year ‘Buddy Bash’ gala in September.

Winam Wines & Spirits of Farmington, a long-time supporter of Interval House, was pleased to be one of the many supporters of the wildly successful 50th birthday party for WFSB’s Channel 3 Dennis House on Thursday, Sept. 27 at City Hall.

Winam and Friends of Dennis House were instrumental in raising more than $12000 for Interval House programs.,0,1255511.photogallery

WINAM and Sassy Bitch Wines once again takes the Sun WineFest by storm!

Four or five attendees deep for ten hours; a thousand women and men of every demographic and age group sported temporary Sassy Bitch tattoos to make Sassy Mohegan Sun’s most popular draw. Sassy’s fourth visit with owner Tami Fricks was its most popular booth. Ten thousand visitors enjoyed the whimsical Sassy taste of one of America’s
fastest-growing imports and left smiling as the 2014 Sunfest concluded.

Click link below to see what the Boston Herald reported about the Sassy presence at Mohegan Sun WineFest 2014:

Maldonado Family Vineyards’ rare Los Olivos Chardonnay is featured at the Sun WineFest 2014 with one of Connecticut’s top chefs—Leo Bushey from Willows Restaurant in Bristol.

The winery is one of the first Mexican Migrant owner vineyards in California and is sold in a handful of states. Willows has received extraordinary reviews from media including The New York Times, Hartford Courant and others for its innovative, fresh cuisine paired with limited production wines.

Willows and WINAM have developed a program centered upon small-grower, limited production wineries.
